We left San Juanico on the sunset of New Year’s Eve under the lumpiest and bumpiest conditions to date. Can someone please turn off this washing machine? The spin cycle is done! The first morning of 2018 (and Day 5 of our travels) brought higher winds from our beam, and with that an opportunity to finally raise the spinnaker. It’s tough to put into writing the thrill and joy of flying the kite.

We’ve done it racing, on route back from Half Moon Bay and Drakes Bay… but this day was different… it was perfect. Warm, steady, consistent and absolutely so much fun. Smiles all around from the Bravo crew…

On the last day, we woke up to a beautiful morning and the point of Cabo San Lucas within eyesight. The arid, barren, mountain terrain that had followed us here was now slowly showing signs of civilization, one hotel after the next. 770 miles and 5.5 days later, we had made it to our destination.
